On behalf of the management, staff and Students of Kumasi Girls' SHS, I welcome you to the official website of the School.
The School, located at Abrepo (along the Abrepo Junction - Barekese stretch) is among the best performing Female Schools in the Region and Country. The School is popularly referred to as "Girls' School" by the indigenes of the communities around it.
The school lends its resources to train all students, (irrespective of tribe, religion or any other barrier to education) to live up to their full potential and become responsible citizens.
The school's vision is to be "A CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR GIRLS EDUCATION".
The mission of the school is "TO DEVELOP AND EMPOWER GIRLS TO BE ACADEMICALLY SOUND, SKILL ORIENTED, MORALLY UPRIGHT AND SOCIALLY USEFUL SO AS TO BE INDEPENDENT AND EFFECT CHANGE IN THE SCHOOL, THEIR FAMILIES, NATION AND THE WORLD AT LARGE"
The School is guided by it's vision and mission in every aspect (academic, domestic and administration) of its existence. The School hopes to imbibe key core values such as "CREATIVITY, OBEDIENCE, RESPONSIBILITY AND EXCELLENCE in its students. This is to help the students acquire a set of values that enable them make impact in the society.
Students from Kumasi Girls' SHS are called "Ahemmaa" because the school and the staff train them holistically to live their lives in a 'queenly' manner. Our students live a courteous life full of elegance, excellence, humility, respect, obedience and above all, sincerity, hence our motto, "Semper Fidelis".
